Receptions and Bands

Applause bands are top-line, cutting edge, musical ensembles that provide the consummate dance band experience. All of our bands are self-contained with instruments and audio. Small band #1 hails from Scottsdale, Arizona and has been entertaining as a one man band for the past 15 years and his music is has an upbeat style and runs the gamut from the 60’s thru the 90’s. If you need a full sound, he could be the entertainer for your next event.

Medium Band #2 calls Scottsdale, Arizona home and is an exciting, full sounding, versatile show band. They are seasoned and play the dynamics of your program from soft dinner music, M.C.ing events of the evening, to high energy dance music. They are a fun party band with great personalities and charisma, a visual delight and perfectionists at their craft.

Large Band #1 specializes in the 50’s thru 90’s music. Whether a quintet or a 12 piece act this band delivers a full sound. They also have a concert repertoire used in their opening act appearances all over the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area.

Medium Band #4 hails originally from New York, but now makes their home in Phoenix, Arizona and is a five-piece band featuring a female vocalist. Their repertoire runs from the 40's through today. They are upbeat and fun and know how to entertain your group.

Medium Band #3 is a professional and versatile group performing variety music from Scottsdale, Arizona. They have a full sound including drums, bass, guitar, wind instruments and lush vocal harmonies.

Large Band #2 is considered one of Phoenix, Arizona's most sought-after bands. They customize each set to create a desired mood throughout your event. Their 11 piece band features the largest horn section of any local act including trumpets, trombone, tenor and baritone sax. They have been booked for events throughout Arizona and the Southwest, frequenting Las Vegas, San Diego, Albuquerque and as far as San Francisco.

Small band #3 is a Scottsdale, Arizona based band that plays a magical mixture of original music performed on harp-like fingerstyle guitar, effervescent flute and pennywhistles, and exciting world percussion with diverse cultural influences such as Celtic, African and Mediterranean!

The secret to Medium Band #6's success has been in it's ability to cross ethnic borders and do subtle blends of salsa, Latino, disco, rock, and rhythm and blues throughout the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. Several members of the band are fluent in Spanish and English, therefore making them an excellent choice for audiences of blended cultures.

Medium Band #1: This is a Mesa, Arizona based band and is vibrant and upbeat performing an entertaining show of Rock & Roll, not just music. They present a full evening of musical merriment with songs that range from Van Morrison's "Moondance" to the Fine Young Cannibals' "Good Thing." The lead singer is quite an entertainer, in that he is audience interactive, and keeps them laughing with his onstage antics and patter.

Each ensemble has it’s own distinctive and creative style, providing the ultimate experience in artistry for your extraordinary day. Wedding Soloist #1 is ready to entertain at your wedding or reception with the piano and accordion.

Wedding Soloist #2 combines her lyric voice with the beautiful sound and stunning appearance of her gold harp to enhance any special occasion and is from Scottsdale, Arizona.

Wedding Soloist #3 recently moved to Chandler, Arizona and has studied the great guitarists of our time and has incorporated these into his own unique style. His repertoire encompasses classical music written for the guitar to the fiery flamenco music of Spain. He has a vast Wedding music library.

Wedding Soloist #4 is headquartered out of Glendale, Arizona and has been playing Harp professionally for over 23 years, and has studied with some of the finest harpists of our era: Marjorie Call-Salzedo, Mildred Dilling, and David Watkins (formerly of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.) He has an extensive repertoire of classical and tasteful popular tunes perfect for all occasions, including all of the traditional bridal marches and recessionals.

Wedding Soloist #5, from Phoenix, Arizona, is a musician's "musician", from the classical standards for your wedding on the classical acoustic guitar, to the subtle "jazz" electric guitar for your cocktail hour (music playing), this is one of the best, well-rounded musicians on our staff.

Wedding Soloist #6, from Phoenix, Arizona, has performed Classical, Latin American and and popular music on the classical guitar for audiences in Arizona, California and Hawaii for over 25 years. He comes from a family of musicians of several generations. His father is a violinist, his mother is a pianist and his sister is an accomplished opera singer.

Wedding Soloist #7 is a native of Arizona and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Arizona State University and a Masters in Education from Northern Arizona University. He has played for numerous entertainers and internationally acclaimed bands i.e. Vic Damone, Vicki Carr, Louie Belsom's big band, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole and Dionne Warwick to name a few.

Wedding Soloist #8: In this spectacular, colorful, Native American dance performance you will see the men's fancy war dance, listen to the flute, and witness the sacred hoop dance as the dancer makes formations from the southwest. This dancer has delighted audiences with Crystal Gayle, Neil Young, and is a favorite at Willie Nelson's Farm Aid Benefit Concert. (on national televsion, CMT and PBS.)

Ensembles

Wedding Ensemble #1 makes their home in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona and features the contemporary piano stylings of this brilliant pianist coupled with her beautiful voice can be the highlight of any special occasion. Whether as background musical ambiance or the solo for a wedding highlight, this duo is outstanding.

Wedding Ensemble #2 hails from Phoenix, Arizona. Each player of this string quartet brings a diversity of experience, from studies with world renown teachers, to performances with great orchestras

Wedding Ensemble #3 hails from Fountain Hills, Arizona. They are a husband and wife guitar duo that has delighted audiences for over a decade in the Valley of the Sun gracing many fine occasions with their sophisticated stylings and extensive repertoire. In addition to weddings held at Arizona Country Club, Sunridge Canyon, Copperwynd, Scottsdale Country Club, Fire Rock and Marshall Gardens, the couple has played for private in-home events, open houses and many fine dining restaurants.

Wedding Ensemble #4, from the Phoenix, Arizona Metropolitan Area incorporates the angelic tones of the flute and classical harp, mixed together to bring out the best in classical or contemporary selections. These young ladies and their music are perfect for weddings, cocktail receptions and dinner affairs.

Wedding Ensemble #5's home base is in Cave Creek, Arizona. He plays a wide variety of musical styles including: Classic Rock, Caribbean, R & B, Smooth Jazz, Latin and Traditional Jazz. His music includes jazz and Latin standards, smooth jazz and music from Jimmy Buffett, Paul Simon, Bob Marley, Harry Belafonte, Beatles, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Santana, UB40 and many more. This musician/ entertainer is well versed in saxophone, flute, steel drum and keyboards, with vocals as well. All of his arrangements are full sounding, quite a one-man band!!!

Wedding Ensemble #6 is from Phoenix, Arizona. This widely traveled band has the ability to enhance your event with music from around the globe, their eclectic style will compliment any setting. From sounds of the Caribbean to American Jazz their sound is fresh, uplifting and sets a wafting ambiance.

Wedding Ensemble #7 will add that special flavor of the Southwest. Whether a small outside gathering or a festival of several hundred guests, our ethnic entertainers will capture your group. They come from Phoenix, Arizona dressed in authentic ethnic attire and will create an ambiance of the West that your guests will want to take home with them.... "Ole', y Viva la Musica!!!"

Disc Jockeys

Your special wedding and reception requires a blend of planning and sophistication for your total enjoyment. Our D.J.’s ‘spotlight’ the Wedding couple, their family and friends. Creativity, sensitivity and class are key to your successful event. They provide a complete repertoire mixture of music, MCing the high-points of your event, and set the proper mood for each energy level throughout the evening. Because our D.J.’s are highly seasoned, at your request, they will engage and interact with your guests, always keeping the Bride and Groom in the foreground.

Vennie is good to go for all occasions. He is comfortable in all styles of music and is well-seasoned to the sensitivity of a client's needs. Whether a corporate event, or wedding reception, he tailors his performance with charisma and professionalism.

Harvey hails from the beautiful city of Tempe, Arizona and has a complete library of music from the 40’s to today’s repertoire. The perfect choice for Weddings and corporate functions.

Curtis is a witty, charming and effervescent DJ. He uses the latest and most reliable technology in both sound and lighting, which combined with his knowledge of the music of the last fifty years,  ensures the success of your event. He does his job effortlessly and is free to entertain and interact with your family and guests.

Tracy is vivacious and charismatic. She's comfortable building the energy of an event.with ease through her personality and appropriate musical knowledge for the performance level needed at the time. In addition she facilitates karaoke with interaction and her own vocal ability.
